Long Wool-Look Single-Breasted Coat

At 173cm it really does reach near my ankles, which is what I wanted. The taupe goes with everything I own and the lapel sits nice and flat.

I'm only 155cm so the hem nearly skims the floor, but I'm keeping it that way. Wore it open over a roll neck to the Christmas market and felt very put together.

One big button and no fuss. Done up over a black dress for work drinks it looked really polished.

Finally a long coat that doesn't stop at my knees. The sleeves reach my wrists at 174cm.

Took my usual size and there's just enough room for a thick knit under it. The line stays straight, nothing pulls across the back.

Lapel is wide and sits well, and it's done the school run about twenty times already. Only niggle is it creases in the car, so I steam it once a week.

Slim without being tight, and I can sit down on the train without it riding up. Taupe looks softer outdoors than in the photos.

The single button looks great done up, though I'd have liked something to hold it shut when the wind picks up. Otherwise really smart.

Wore it to a carol service buttoned over a dress and a girl asked if it was from a proper tailor. Happy with that.

Good cut and the notch lapel looks sharp. The fabric is on the thin side for a proper cold day though, so I need a decent jumper underneath.

Beautiful colour, but at 159cm it touches the pavement if I wear flats, so it's trainers or heels only for me. I do love the shape.

My mum asked where I got it, which never happens. I wear it open with straight trousers.

Long enough to feel dramatic and slim enough that I'm not drowning in it.

Goes over everything, from gym leggings to a party dress. The fabric feels solid.
