      Skirt is very slim

      The burgundy is deep and rich and the pearl-effect buttons are really pretty. The long ribbed skirt hugs quite closely, so I wear something smooth underneath. Still love the set.

      Christmas lunch sorted

      Wore the whole set to family Christmas lunch and felt put together without being stiff. The ribbed skirt falls to my ankles and the little slit at the cardigan hem is cute. Very comfortable after pudding.

      Cosy but polished

      Two pieces that look planned together, because they are. The buttoned cardigan feels soft on my skin and the burgundy is the autumn shade I was hunting for. Wearing it again on Friday.

      Flattering shape

      The fitted cardigan nips in at the waist and the straight skirt gives a long line. I steamed it once and it came up beautifully. Deep red is perfect for the colder months.

      Two outfits in one

      Do go up a size

      Lovely knit and the colour is delicious, but the slim fit means it is close. I am between sizes and wish I had ordered bigger, as the cardigan pulled over my chest when buttoned. Size up if you are anywhere near the line.

      A wash-day plan needed

      Soft, cosy and pretty. Just know it is a hand wash or wool cycle in a mesh bag and dry flat, so it is not a throw-in job. I still think the effort is worth it.

      My birthday dinner outfit

      Fluff on the skirt

      Love the colour and the matching skirt. It catches a bit of fluff from my coat though, so I brush it before going out. Still my favourite outfit this month.
