Maxi Teddy Coat

The stone grey is softer in real life than I expected and the lapel sits beautifully worn open. Walked the dog in a stiff wind and felt cosy the entire time.

I wanted a long coat that wasn't scratchy wool and this is it. Chunky knit underneath is no problem, there's room to spare, and my usual size was right.

Wore it open over an all-black outfit to a birthday dinner and it lit the whole thing up. Thick, plush teddy fabric, and the hem skims my ankles.

Colleagues keep touching the sleeve, which is odd but flattering. Warm enough for the long walk to the office and the lapel frames my face nicely.

Spent a whole Saturday outdoors at a market with a mulled wine in hand and stayed toasty. Long sleeves cover my wrists too, which is rare for me.

The teddy fabric left a few fibres on my dark jeans for the first couple of wears. A gentle shake and brush helped, and the coat is so warm that I forgive it.

I love the length and the plush feel, and the lapel is gorgeous. My only gripe is that I keep wanting somewhere to put my hands when it's freezing.

The grey goes with my whole wardrobe and the fabric feels like a blanket. One button, one lapel, done.

It's so long and plush that I feel like I'm wearing a luxury robe on the school run, only far smarter. Falls right to my ankles and the single button is all it needs.

The cut is properly relaxed, which is lovely over jumpers, but on me it was almost swamping, especially in the shoulders. I'd go down a size unless you want room for chunky knits. Still gorgeous.

A coat this long and plush has some weight to it, and I felt it on a long commute. Still the softest thing I own, and it looks great worn open.

Soft, drapey, ankle length. I wear it open over jeans and a jumper most days and a gentle brush lifts the pile after the bus.
