      Party coat found

      Gorgeous but I have to factor in dry cleaning, which isn't cheap. I only wear it for occasions, so it's fine, but don't expect an everyday commuter coat.

      Pure drama

      Careful with the pile

      Beautiful coat. Velvet crushes if you sit awkwardly with a bag on your lap, so I steam from the reverse to bring it back.

      Went down a size

      It's cut close and tailored, and my usual size was slightly roomy through the shoulders for me, so I swapped to the smaller. Sleeves now sit perfectly. It still fits over a thin knit.

      Tight with chunky knits

      Love the velvet and the length. The close tailoring means a thick jumper underneath is a squeeze, so it's best with thin layers.

    Yes. A fine knit or thin jumper fits easily. For a chunky knit, take one size up.

    How long is it?

    It falls close to the ankle. It will sit a little higher on a shorter frame.

    How do I look after it?

    Dry cleaning is the safest choice. Steam it to remove creases and hang it on a wide hanger.
