Frequently asked questions

Orders and delivery

How much is delivery?

Canada delivery is free on every order.

When will my order arrive?

Orders placed before 14:00 (UK time) on a working day are processed the same day. Delivery in Canada takes 6 working days from then (working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Chinese public holidays). You see an estimate on every product page and in your cart.

Do you ship outside Canada?

Not yet. We deliver to addresses in Canada only.

Returns

Can I return a dress?

Yes. You can return unworn items with their tags within 30 days of delivery. Start a return or read the returns policy.

Who pays for the return postage?

You do, unless the item arrived faulty or we sent the wrong one. We refund the item price and the original delivery cost.

Sizing

How do I find my size?

Compare your measurements with the size guide. Each dress page also has a fit note. Between two sizes, choose the larger one for a relaxed fit.

Do the dresses look like the photos?

Yes. Every photo is made from the exact dress we send: true colour, sheen and length. Our house models are digitally created, so we can show each dress on three different frames. If your dress is not as shown, tell us and we put it right.

Coats and jackets

What size coat should I choose?

Your usual size. Our coats and jackets are cut to go over a knit. For a chunky jumper underneath, or a looser look, choose one size up. Each product page has a fit note and the size guide.

Are your wool-look coats real wool?

Only when the product page gives a wool percentage. Most of our wool-look coats are a soft woven fabric that is mainly polyester. The fabric line on each page says exactly what it is.

Is the faux leather or faux suede real leather?

No. Faux leather and faux suede are made without animal hide. They are lighter than leather and easy to look after.

How do I care for a wool-look coat?

Brush it after wearing, hang it on a wide hanger and let it air between wears. Spot clean small marks with a damp cloth. Dry clean it when it needs a full clean, and never tumble dry it.

How do I care for faux fur and faux shearling?

Shake it out and let it air. Spot clean marks with cool water and a little mild soap, then let it dry flat away from heat. Brush the pile gently with a wide comb once it is dry. Never iron the pile.

How do I care for faux leather?

Wipe it with a soft damp cloth and let it dry naturally. Keep it away from radiators and direct heat, and store it on a hanger so it does not crease. Do not machine wash or iron it.

Can I wash my puffer?

Yes, unless its care label says otherwise. Close the zips, turn it inside out and wash it on a gentle cool cycle with mild detergent. Dry it flat or on a low tumble setting with two clean tennis balls to lift the filling.

Boots

Which boot size should I order?

Our boots use UK sizes. Measure your foot from the heel to the longest toe and check the size guide. Between two sizes, or with wide feet, choose the larger size.

Do your boots come in half sizes?

No. Our boots come in whole UK sizes. If you are usually a half size, choose the next size up.

Will knee-high boots fit my calves?

Stretch and slouch styles fit the widest range of calves. Each boot page says whether the shaft stretches and how it fastens. If you are unsure, choose a stretch or slouch style.

How do I care for faux suede boots?

Brush them with a soft suede brush to lift the nap and remove dust. Use a waterproofing spray before the first wear. Let wet boots dry naturally, stuffed with paper, away from heat.

Sets and knitwear

Is a set sold as both pieces?

Yes. Every set is both pieces together, in the same size and colour, for one price.

Can I choose a different size for the top and the bottom?

Not at the moment. Both pieces of a set come in the same size. Check the fit note on the product page: most of our sets have an elastic or stretch waist.

How do I wash my knitwear?

Hand wash it cool, or use the wool or delicates cycle. Press out the water gently, never wring it, and dry it flat in its shape. Fold knits rather than hanging them so they keep their length.

Why does my new knit shed or pill?

Soft, brushed knits can shed a little at first and pill where they rub. Remove pills with a fabric shaver or a knit comb. It settles after the first few wears.

Offers

How does Buy more, save more work?

Buy 2 pieces and save 10%, buy 3 and save 15%, buy 4 or more and save 20%. Any mix of pieces, colours and sizes counts, and the saving comes off automatically in your bag.
