Clean in front, all drama behind: a straight square neckline and smooth fitted bodice, and a low open back laced like a corset with long ties at the waist.

A gathered band defines the waist and a diagonal drape crosses the hips before the skirt flutes gently out to the floor.

      Wine and that open back

      Beautiful, but ties are long

      I love the open back and the fluted hem on the emerald. The ties at the waist are very long, so I had to tuck them in or they trailed behind me on the dance floor.

      Simple from the front, then you turn around and it is all lacing. The wine jersey is soft and matte with a gentle sheen, and the ruched hip drape is flattering.

      Gorgeous but hand wash only

      The black is so elegant, with that square neckline and fluted skirt. My only grumble is it needs hand washing cold and drying flat, so it is not a quick wear-and-wash dress.

      Size up if you want it comfy

      Emerald is stunning and the corset back is gorgeous, but the fitted jersey is snug across my hips. I would size up, then pull the laces to taper it in at the waist.

    Can I adjust the back?

    Yes. The lace-up back ties at the waist, so you can pull it closer or let it out a little.

    Is the jersey see-through?

    No. It is a matte stretch jersey that stays opaque when it stretches.

    Can I wear a bra with it?

    The back is low and open, so a standard bra shows. A backless stick-on bra works best.
